Dream Songs and Sequenves in Old Hindi Films..

Some of the best picturised dream song sequences and some of my favorites..

I think the extended dream sequence from Awara picturised on the Great Raj kapoor and Nargis , is probably the best ever on Hindi film screen...It is perfect in every aspect, the songs beginning with Lata's tere bina aag yeh zindgi...Manna dey's yeh nahin hai zindgi to the final Ghar aaya mera pardesi leaves the viewers mesmerised..

My next favorite dream sequence is from the film is from the film Geet gaya Pattharone - this is an all time favorite song by Asha Bhonsle picturised on actress Rajashri and Jeetendra - one of my favorite songs ever 'Tere Khayalon mein hum, tere hi bahon mein hum...

Another song that was equally well picturised was Asha Bhonsle's 'Motiyon ke seg bichayi huyi hai, aaja raja ...from the film Anmol Moti, picturised on Babita and Jeetendra...

  3. Dream sequences had a purpose then..Feelings dormant with situations taken from imagination were the fabric of those beautiful songs. So they will live as long as there is a receptive heart. Now a days..they just want to live in dreams with no substance at all.. :(
Tere Khayalon mein hum..is a magnificent example of the genre.. thanks Kiran. :)
