Madhubala has always been a special favorite.I have seen most of her movies over and over again.Her mesmerising beauty , that ravishing smile and yes , i have always felt that she was a very natural and spontaneous actress like Geeta Bali..another favorite actress, bubbly and so full of life , that she overshadows all other actors sharing space with her on screen .'Jaal' Baazi and Jailor are some of her movies that i have seen...
Then there was Waheeda Rehman who i have felt had the most perfectly beautiful face , flawless , dignified and had such a lovely screen presence..;i have seen many of her movies 'Pyasa' CID,Kagaz ke phool, Sahib bibi aur ghulam,Chaudvin ka chand,Kala bazaar,Ek phool char kante,Dil diya...what an impressive line up of movies.She was truly one of the Greatest actresses we ever had, like Nargis , Meena Kumari and Nutan.
Then there was Vyjayantimala, who was like a royal princess,Beautiful, sure of herself, yet so graceful and charming.It is a pleasure watching her on screen, especially her dances.She is sheer magic.My own favorites among her vast number of films Nagin,Madhumati,Devdas,Naya daur,Ganga Jamuna,Jewel thief,Prince,Sadhana,Sangam...
In fact i love all those older actresses Nimmi,NaliniJayawant,MalaSinha,Sadhana Sharmila Tagore,Saira banu...; and even the so caled 'B' grade heroines like Shakila,Shyaama,Kum Kum ...;
