More about Music

There is no end to a discussion as beautiful and enthralling and vast as this subject.
Taking just a single aspect of it 'Old hindi film music', itself is so vast , that it is
not possible for anyone to explore it within one's life time.It becomes such an integral
part of one's life .The Great singers of Yesteryears attain God like stature despite all
their shortcomings(Are there any?) and failings( seriously?).
When i listen to Mohammad Rafi singing 'Yeh Wadiyaan yeh fizaayen'..i get transported to
a different world, nothing matters then, except the enjoyment of that Perfect voice , time stands still.
When i listen Lata singing 'Mausam hai Aashiqaana ', i am able to feel all the longings of an expectant lover waiting..When Talat sings 'Sham e gham ki kasam' with that velvety voice of his Oh! what can one say except sigh!
Mukesh virtually brings tears to my eyes when he sings Sada kush rahe tu..

The list can go on...with so many little known artists lending their voices ...and making our lives so happy. When i feel sad that i couldnt do more forays into this field of music..i feel thankful that i can atleaast enjoy them..to my heartfull ! That should make us glad..i think.
