I still remember the kind of magic that was created when I listened to Rafi singing 'Khoya khoya chand' 'Nigahe na phero', Baar baar dekho hazaar baar dekho' 'Salaamat raho'... felt that Rafi had God's own voice which can never be equaled let alone surpassed...!
He is considered to be the Best singer of all times. His name ranks first and foremost as long as music is discussed by all hindi music lovers.The kind of fan following Rafi has, is seen to be believed, it is spread across nations and continents . In fact, many a critic has remarked that Rafi’s fan following and adoration has grown by leaps and bounds after his death. Rafi has been a single great unifier of people across the continents, he has united people like no other person has.Rafi the singer has no religion, he is himself, adored and respected for the magic he weaved with his voice and songs !

It is not possible to choose any favorites among his songs , because there are so many that come to ones mind , each one better than the other,each more melodious than the other..words fail while talking about this god like person , it is said that Rafi was a teetotaler, a religious and extremely simple and humble person.;A great singer and greater human being..unsurpassed !
Rafi was the GREATEST, all the modren singers are not even 1% of him.

It is amazing to listen to the depth in His voice..Every word leaps to life when He spells them out..A Devout Muslim, a Teetotaler, a non smoker...He liked to have lots of sweets and Sweet sherbat. So unfortunate that he suffered from Diabetes for two decades...yet spread so much sweetness through His songs..For me, He is the ultimate..both professionally and personally.
